RN Administrator – Home Health at Extra Life Care

This is a senior leadership role where you’ll balance clinical oversight, operational management, compliance leadership, financial stewardship, and staff development — all while ensuring patients and families receive the compassionate, high-quality care they deserve.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
Direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of the agency, ensuring seamless coordination across departments
Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with company goals and community healthcare needs
Maintain open communication with the governing body and owners regarding performance, compliance, and opportunities for growth
Lead by example — fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, compassion, and clinical excellence
Staff Development & Oversight
Recruit, hire, and onboard both clinical and administrative staff
Provide mentorship, supervision, and ongoing training to staff to ensure competence and confidence in home health care delivery
Conduct regular staff evaluations, provide feedback, and create development plans to encourage professional growth
Ensure adequate staffing levels across all service lines to meet patient needs promptly and effectively
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Maintain compliance with all regulations governing home health agencies
Oversee Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs to continually monitor and elevate standards of care
Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and implement corrective action plans as necessary
Stay current on regulatory updates, reimbursement guidelines, and industry best practices to ensure the agency remains competitive and compliant
Client-Centered Care
Serve as a key resource for patients and families — addressing concerns, coordinating care plans, and ensuring satisfaction
Oversee the development of personalized care plans tailored to each patient’s unique medical, emotional, and social needs
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and community partners to ensure coordinated, holistic patient care
Monitor patient outcomes, satisfaction scores, and clinical indicators to maintain excellence
Financial & Business Management
Develop, monitor, and manage the agency’s annual operating budget
Oversee billing, reimbursement, and financial performance to ensure sustainability and profitability
Identify opportunities to expand service lines, increase referral networks, and grow market presence in the community
Evaluate financial reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions
Collaboration & Communication
Act as the primary liaison between staff, patients, families, healthcare providers, and community organizations
Represent Extra Life Care at professional associations, referral meetings, and community outreach events
Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, regulatory bodies, and payors
Communicate agency updates, performance reports, and new initiatives to staff and leadership
Emergency & On-Call Support
Maintain availability by phone for urgent issues or per regulatory and company policy
Participate in on-call rotations as needed, providing leadership support during after-hours situations
Lead crisis management protocols and ensure proper emergency preparedness procedures are in place
Compliance Responsibilities
Ensure all clinical and administrative documentation is accurate, complete, timely, and consistent with Medicare guidelines
Maintain compliance with state licensure, Medicare certification, and accreditation bodies through strong policies, procedures, and staff education
Oversee and respond to state/federal audits, surveys, and inspections, including developing and implementing Plans of Correction
Monitor utilization review activities to prevent errors, optimize resource allocation, and reduce denials
Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all operations
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Ghana.
Minimum of 3+ years of leadership or administrative experience in home health, hospice, or related healthcare field (1 year required)
Strong knowledge of regulations, compliance standards, and reimbursement processes
Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and manage a multi-disciplinary team
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, payroll, and billing oversight
Passion for patient-centered care and the ability to balance compassion with operational efficiency
